Get Money for Groceries with Pandemic EBT

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) is a federal program that provides grocery money for low-income families and children missing meals due to school and childcare closures. Children who were learning from home due to pandemic-related school closures and would have received free or reduced-price meals under the National School Lunch Act are automatically enrolled in the program. P-EBT benefits are available for eligible recipients for the 2020-2021 school year and during the 2021 summer period.

To learn more about P-EBT, please visit The USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program page

California Has Reopened...What Does That Mean for Unemployment Benefits?

Starting July 11, 2021, Californians receiving unemployment benefits should begin looking for work to maintain their eligibility, according to the California Employment Development Department (EDD). During the pandemic, the federal government temporarily allowed states to waive the requirement to search for work, and since March 2020, the work search requirement has been suspended in California.  As California continues to reopen, claimants will need to resume looking for work to maintain eligibility.
