Temporary COVID-19 Guidelines for General Relief Ending

During the federal Public Health Emergency, Marin extended General Relief eligibility beyond the annual six-month limit. However, individuals currently receiving General Relief for six months or more may face benefit disruptions due to this change. For more information, refer to “COVID-era Waivers for General Relief to be Lifted” news release.

Stay Safe During Weekend Heat Wave

The NWS has issued an excessive heat warning for this weekend, particularly in inland areas of the county. HeatRisk level is currently at "moderate," posing a risk to heat-sensitive individuals. Take precautions and consult HHSHeatRisk guide to stay safe during the upcoming heat wave.

Detecting COVID-19 Variants in 5 Minutes

From COVID Sniffing Dogs to an air monitor that detects COVID-19 variants in five minutes. According to a study published in Nature Communications, the compact device, based on a micro-immunoelectrode biosensor, could be used in schools, hospitals, and public places to monitor, and detect SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne viruses in real time.
