Rescission of Order Requiring the Verification of Vaccination Status & Requiring Weekly Covid-19 Testing for Certain Unvaccinated Workers & the Order Requiring COVID-19 Vaccination of Law Enforcement, Fire, & Emergency Medical Services 08/22/2022

ORDER OF THE MARIN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER

Date of Order: August 22, 2022

Please read this Order carefully.  Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a misdemeanor punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both.  (California Health and Safety Code § 120295, et seq.)

UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTIONS 101040, 101085, AND 120175, THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN (“HEALTH OFFICER”) ORDERS:

  1. Effective immediately, the Order of the Marin County Public Health Officer Requiring the Verification of Vaccination Status and Requiring Weekly Covid-19 Testing for Certain Unvaccinated Workers and the Order of the Marin County Public Health Officer Requiring Covid-19 Vaccination of Law Enforcement, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services Personnel in Higher-Risk Settings are rescinded.

  1. All Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Operators of Temporary Disaster Shelters in Marin County must continue to comply with any applicable State Public Health Officer Orders, including masking requirement (see Guidance for Face Coverings), the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/coronavirus/ETS.html) and/or the Cal/OSHA Aerosol Transmissible Diseases Standards (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/dosh_publications/ATD-Guide.pdf). Furthermore, the Marin County Public Health Officer strongly recommends that they follow applicable California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.

  1. Copies of this Order shall promptly be: (1) made available at the Bulletin Board adjacent to the entrance to the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Room 330, Administration Building, and in the display case in the center arch of the Hall of Justice, Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael, California; (2) posted on the County of Marin website (www.marincounty.org) as well as the County of Marin Department of Health and Human Services website (www.marinhhs.org); and (3) provided to any member of the public requesting a copy his Order.
