VIDEO: The Role of Vaccine Mandates in Marin

Public Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis talks about how education, access, and policy have formed the three pillars of Marin’s vaccination strategy. He also addresses how this strategy has transformed Marin County from being vaccine-hesitant to one of the most highly vaccinated counties across the nation.

Northgate Vaccination Clinic Has New Hours

Our COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Northgate Mall will be updating its hours starting in February. Below is the new schedule for this site:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 1pm – 7pm
  • Friday & Saturday: 10am – 4pm
  • Sunday – Tuesday: Closed

Inside Northgate Mall at the Center Court
5800 Northgate Drive, San Rafael

Walk-ins are now welcome on a limited basis, depending on availability. Boosters, Pfizer pediatric vaccines, and flu shots are available at this clinic, but supply is limited so the best way to ensure a space is to make an appointment online. You can make a reservation via our Vaccine Finder page or by visiting California Department of Public Health’s MyTurn COVID and flu vaccination scheduling website.

Vaccines are FREE, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Recipients between the ages of 5 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive a vaccine.

Expanded Testing Options in Marin

Access to testing is an invaluable resource our community has in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Marin is adding two new community testing sites to help make them more easily available to the public.

Opening this Sunday, January 30, Curative will begin operating a FREE walk-up kiosk at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal offering PCR tests. Details of the new location are below:

Curative, Larkspur Ferry Terminal
