Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccination Virtual Forums Announced 

The Marin County Office of Education will be hosting two forums on Zoom to address the topic of pediatric vaccinations. With approval of COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11 pending in the United States, a panel of local Public Health Officials has been assembled to help address concerns from our community regarding the issue.  

Speakers of this virtual discussion include:  

  • Dr. Matt Willis, Public Health Officer for Marin County 
  • Dr. Theodore Ruel, Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UCSF 
  • Dr. Tara Greenhow, Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Kaiser 
  • Mary Jane Burke, Superintendent of Marin County Schools

It’s Testing Tuesday: An Overview of Testing Options in Marin 

There are numerous COVID-19 testing opportunities in Marin County, including Healthcare ProvidersCommunity Testing SitesIndependent Providers, and Mail-In/At-Home Testing.   

FREE Community Testing with Optum Serve/LHI and Curative is offered in partnership with Marin County Public Health and their current testing schedule is listed below:

  • West America Bank Parking Lot - 1177 E. Francisco Blvd, San Rafael (open Wednesday - Saturday, 9am to 5pm)    
  • The Square Shopping Center Parking Lot -  2001 Novato Blvd, Novato (open Tuesday, 9am - 5pm)

Advance appointments encouraged; walk-ins available as daily testing supply allows. Book an appointment online or call (888) 702-9042.
