Upcoming Spanish Public Health Update hosted by Marin County Office of Education
This Wednesday, October 20th, the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) will host the second of two virtual Public Health forums focused on questions and concerns from our community regarding pediatric vaccination. With possible approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5 to 11 year old’s coming in early November, this event (along with last week’s corresponding Public Health Update in English) will serve as a bridge to those who are interested in learning more about this topic or wish to participate in the discussion. This event will be presented in Spanish with English interpretation and is free for anyone to join.

Vaccination Opportunities in Marin
There are numerous free COVID-19 vaccination clinics operating around Marin County this week. In addition to the regular one or two-dose vaccine series, most sites are also offering third doses and Pfizer booster shots. Our clinic at Northgate Mall is only offering Pfizer (1st and 2nd doses, boosters). Those who are eligible, but haven’t received a vaccine or completed their vaccination series, are advised to make a reservation online in advance. All clinics are available to residents who are 12 & older. We appreciate you doing your part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

- Local pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, and others offer same-day vaccine appointments.
- Marin County Public Health has developed an online form for requesting a no-cost visit from the mobile vaccination team. This form was designed to make it even easier for all residents to be fully vaccinated. Its intended use is for:
- Businesses can request pop-up vaccination clinics at the workplace to vaccinate employees.
- Homebound individuals and their loved ones can request a visit to the home for vaccination.
- Hospitals and healthcare providers can make a home vaccination request on behalf of their patients.
- Long-term care facilities can request on-site mobile vaccination units for staff and residents.
