COVID-19 Travel Tip Sheet

Limited Walk-Ins Available

Are you having trouble finding an open appointment to receive a booster? We are grateful to our partner Safeway for adding additional appointments to the Northgate Mall vaccination clinic. Limited walk-ins are available at the Northgate clinic on Wednesday and Thursday this week and next week. For clinic location and hours, visit our Vaccine Finder page.

Testing Tuesday

Testing remains one of the most important tools in our COVID-19 prevention toolkit, especially as we move indoors during colder weather and celebrate the holidays. Getting tested before and after travel and holiday gatherings helps identify the virus and limit its ability to spread in our community. This is an important step we can all take to protect each other and keep our loved ones safe.

If you’re symptomatic, get tested as soon as possible, even if you’re fully vaccinated.

FREE COVID-19 testing is offered in partnership with Optum Serve and Curative. Here is the current testing schedule:

Optum Serve / LHI

Appointments are required. Call (888) 634-1123 or book an appointment online.

  • West America Bank Parking Lot - 1177 E. Francisco Blvd, San Rafael (open Wednesday - Saturday, 9am to 5pm)
  • The Square Shopping Center Parking Lot - 2001 Novato Blvd, Novato (open Tuesday, 9am - 5pm)

NOTE: ALL Optum Serve/LHI testing locations will be closed December 25 and January 1.

Advance appointments encouraged; walk-ins available as daily testing supply allows. Click a location name below to book an appointment or call (888) 702-9042.

NOTE: ALL Curative testing locations will be closed December 24/25 and December 31/January 1.

This information, as well as information on when to get tested, types of tests, and what you should do while awaiting your test results, can be found at
